winlogon.exe error message

I recently downloaded the XP service pack (SP1) to my
laptop (which has XP Home edition), but since then, I
cannot log on - an error message reads "entry point not
found - the procedure entry point AssocIs Dangerous could
not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll"
When I press return, another message appears: "The logon
User Interface DLL msgina.dll failed to load" appears.

Hello

I think you maybe reloading Windows and have you tried
going into safe mode and do you get the smae message
