I recently purchased a TI-83 Silver Graphlink to connect
my graphing calculator to my computer. when i attempted
to install the hardware I recieved a message
saying "Hardware not approved for windows XP". I need the
link for school. please help.

Did you check that it was XP compatible before buying it?
I suggest returning it as its not compatible with your system...

I also have the Silver Ti83 Plus with the USB TI Connect and
it runs just fine on XP. GraphLink is the older version
that was shipped with Ti82 and other models. It has a black
cable with a DB9 serial connector. I installed my old one
and it too works just fine from the serial port on W XP Pro.
SP1.
They each use different software to connect tom different
model calculators.
Also, Ti has software to download on their web site.
