Taskbar toolbars

Hi. I have Windows XP Professional and all of a sudden
the "Quick Launch" toolbar and a "Search" toolbar [an
option I can remove in the right click menu of the
taskbar] is always there when I log on. I remove it,
lock the taskbar, log off correctly to save my settings,
but it always comes back. Even when I un-selected the
option to remove quick launch, apply and save the
settings, it ALWAYS returns. I cant figure out how to
get rid of it. Anyone who can help me please reply or
