I am looking for the registry key to set the logon screen (ctrl+alt+del) back to Windows Classic instead of the Luna theme. I don't mind the new theme, but would prefer to leave the system with the classic appearance until after the user profile loads.

That has to do with changing the Welcome Screen to the traditional NT/2000 Log on Screen. I'm using the traditional screen, but would like to change the blue Luna theme for the log on to the classic theme.
