Im having a problem with my new maxtor 80gig ata133
7200rpm hard drive. its showing up in device manager as a
scsi device? its connected to ide cable! anyone got any
ideas?
ive got an abit KD7 raid udma 100 motherbord and im
running windows xp if thats anyhelp to anyone.

The problem isn't affecting the way your computer runs, does it?
What you see is normal. You have the hard drive connected to an "enhanced"
controller. All IDE hard drives are see this way when connected as such.
So, enjoy your computer and don't look for non-existent problems.

The IDE RAID controller causes this. The same thing happens with Promise
add in IDE RAID controller cards. It is normal.
