Is it possable to automate task scheduler to run error
check and defrag without user input.

1. See Control Panel, Scheduled tasks
2. Select 'Add Scheduled task'
3. Select Next and select Application from the list
or browse for it:
e.g. c:\windows\system32\defrag.exe
or
c:\windows\system32\chkdsk.exe
4. Select scheduled time
5. Select a username and password (it cannot be blank the password
or the task will not run).
6. Open properties of the task and on the 'Run' line add the drive
letter to defrag or check.
