Display Problem

Just got my new laptop (Dell Latitude D-600) loaded with Windows XP Pro and
I have a problem with Windows MSIE 6.0. In a nutshell, neither fonts or
graphics display properly on many web pages. I also use Opera and its
browser does not seem to have the same issues in most cases.

My display is a Mobility Radeon 9000. My resolution is 1400x1050 which is
manuafturer recommended. The color quality is "highest quality", 32-bit. I
also checked the box (standard) to smooth the fonts.

I also did check for updates (MS site) for my laptop and windows updates
(drivers) and found nothing relevant to this.

Any ideas on how to fix the display problem would be greatly appreciated!

TOOLS menu|PREFERENCES|FONTS button (at the bottom)...
Is "Latin based" shown in the LANGUAGE SCRIPT window? If not, try that.

Thanks. Just checked and yes, "Latin based" was shown and selected. What's
really strange about this is that its not all the fonts or graphics in
MSIE, just some of them, especially noticeable in the top of pages,
especially in the banners.
