Laptop battery shows low charge

My laptop battery shows low charge (50%) although it
appears to be fully charged.

Normally when fully charged it shows 90% capacity.

Anyone know the reason for this? The battery is Li-ion
and is only 4 months old.

Here's an old trick that sometimes works: discharge the battery
completely, then let the laptop recharge it.
