When switching users, all of a sudden the icons, taskbar
and Start vanished. The only way to work the computer is
using Run off Task Manager. But I can only run one
program at a time. I'm using a Vaio 1.8 Ghz with 512MB
with XP.

If you are Jack Wade then I have already replyed to your previous post.
Instead of reposting, how about you tell us that the previous information
did not help.

===
When you open the task manager, on the applications tab, click new task.
Type explorer and click ok.
If this works, reply and someone may be able to help you set explorer as the
default shell.
Explorer is not only a file browser but it is also a shell. It will display
your start menu, desktop and any explorer windows you have open.

get explorer to work. Nor does the Windows key on the
keyboard. Thanks for trying to help me and sorry for the
mix-up.

A repair install will probably help.
If explorer is not loading then it could be caused by a number of problems
and the repair should fix them all. I dont know if you will loose anything
during the process though.
