Unwanted Ppl

I am getting notifications that ppl I don't know are
adding me to their list.

How do I prevent/handle this?

I keep ignoring the requests, but they reappear each time
I restart Win Messenger.

I know I can accept it and then block them, but then my
list will be filled with blocked unknown/univited.

Is there a better way to deal with this ?
