Hi,
I bought a laptop the other day with Windows XP already
installed. It has Internet Explorer which is a html
browser. It has explore MSN that keeps trying to sign me
up for their ISP service. I haven't found an e-mail
client yet. Is there one, or do I need to download a
third party package like eudora, which is OK by me.
I'd like to build an address book on the e-mail, but I
can't seem to find a way to do that with XP. I know I'm
missing something obvious.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers!

LMAO!
Take the laptop back, and invest in an "Etch-a-Sketch", you'll be safer =
and less hassled with yourself trying to do anything even slightly more =
complicated!

Paul,
In Xp, you have Outlook Express which is an E-mail program which is part of
Internet Explorer. You should be able to access it separately [Start/All
Programs/Outlook Express] or if already in Internet Explorer, click the
Mail Icon (an open envelope if I remember correctly) up on top at the
Toolbar. Whomever installed it should have listed it directly on the Desktop
so you would not have to click All Programs. Solve that problem by putting a
shortcut on the Desktop.
There is a separate Newsgroup for Outlook Express if you experience problems
using/ setting up, etc. Most people in the world use Outlook Express.

XP comes with Microsoft Outlook Express. Should have been installed.
But if not you can install yourslef from Control Panel/Add or Remove
Programs/Add or Remove Windows Components.
You also can consider running Mozilla, freely available from
www.mozilla.org which among other things is a browser and email/news
client. It's my preference.

You can't have looked very hard then. You didn't see 'Outlook Express' at
the top of the Start Menu?
