I have area code rules defined via the "Phone and Modem Settings" button within the dialer.exe program. When I enter a phone number, it is not using the area code rules, nor the long distance dialing code defined.

Any ideas?

MS knowledge base article contains Access VB code for forcing phone numbers into the proper format: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;837146
