Holy crap this is weird and annoying.
I was recently planning on installing Protools (a music recording
program) but decided I was going to start on a clean slate and work from
the ground up. I decided to format. Well, instead of formatting with my
trusty 98 startup disk, (I currently have it formatted as NTFS and I don't
believe 98 handles that all too well?) I used my XP install disk. Well, I
was finished with formatting, when I got the dreaded blue screen and a
message that essentially told me "Memory Dump". So, I figured, something
wierd just happened, I'll just reformat and try again. This time, I got
halfway into my windows install when it told me

"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

One more attempt at reformatting and voila! It worked! Well, I assumed there would be no problems. So I started installing. Right before it was finished, I recieved this angry little message with that terrible blue screen.

"STOP: C000021A Unknown Hard Error"

So, I decided to try it ONE LAST TIME. Ah, crap, second message popped up again. No luck.
I'm pretty irritated and scoured the internet searching for answers. Finally decided I should go to the source.
Thanks for helping out,
Ian Aeillo
