View Full Version : Host Computer autodials the internet when network is enabled

The host computer automatically dials my dialup connection
whenever the network is enabled. This happens even though
there is no apparent command to dialup. It is very
frustrating because the computer will dialup when you do
not intend it to, thus tying up the phone line. Many
times, you are not even aware it's dialed up. The only way
to stop it from automatically dialing up is to disable the
network connection on the host computer. I have already
tried disabling the auto update features for both the
operating system and virus protection on all computers on
the network. It continues to autodial. I have also
disabled the autodial feature of each computer, and it
still autodials. Having to keep the network connection on
the host computer disabled is very inconvenient and kind of
defeats the purpose of having a network in the first place.
Does anyone know of a solution for this problem?
