Upgrade to XP Home

Hi,
I want to upgrade from WIN 98 to WIN XP HOME.
Am entitled to upgrade version, but want to know if it
allows installation after formating the drive (I may want
to get a larger drive..)

yes, you will just need the win98 cd on hand for verification. during xp
setup you will be prompted to insert [the windows 98] cd.

Yes, it does. The requirement to use an upgrade is to *own* a
previous version, not to have it installed. When setup doesn't
find a previous version installed, it will prompt you to insert
its CD as proof of ownership. Just follow the prompts, and all
proceeds normally, quite legitimately.
