Thank you to both Ron and Haus. I tried both suggestions
independently of each other. (With Ron's, the beauty of
the situation is that I don't have to remove all the
printers!)
Success running the wizard as long as I choose
the "other" option for the opening screen and then choose
the hub configuration option (due to the switch).
I can even create and run the network setup disk on the
other computers successfully but am still unable to "see"
the other computers.
I believe that my problem lies with the odd switch setup
and am resigned to ripping that system out and starting
over from scratch. (There are 3 computers but each
station currently uses two cable connects to the switch
and attempts to bypass the switch and just use the built-
in jacks have proved futile.)
