I've run into the dredded Win & Mac scenario. I need my
OS X 10.3 and Win XP-Home Ed. computers to talk to each
other because both contain vital information. I attempted
to use the Mac instructions of setting up a network
between the two but boy that didn't turn out right. As I
bridged the connections, online service became
unavailable and my windows wasn't finding another
computer at all. I receive wireless internet via Airport,
which just turns my single T-1 line into two, one for the
Mac and one for this Win. Also, as I setup a user account
for the Windows computer to log on the Mac as, I did not
find a "Allow user to login from Windows" check box. I'm
up for any help I can get right about now. I'm not sure
what VNC is but, I would really appreciate it if someone
could walk me through a tried and true method they used
to get their Mac & Win computers to talk.
