Anytime i try to execute an exe file, the computer promps
me for a program that makes that file work, to look for
it in internet or to choose it from a list

See if this helps: in the Registry at
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command
check if the value is correct. It should be
"%1" %*

To use the Regedits: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
