Hi

Can someone please let me know how I can create a
WindowsXP Boot Rescue Disk; in case of system failure /
WindowsXP corruption.

I have just upgraded from Windows95 and previously it was
really easy to do, but now I am stuck.

Additionally, if a rescue disk is possible under
WindowsXP; is it possible write to a CD-R and not just
floppy.

Thanks in advance.

You do not need one - the Windows XP CD is bootable and is your recovery
disk and all tools to repair a corrupt or damaged installation.

.... And for those of us who did _not_ receive the XP CD
with our computer? I bought my HP system with XP home
preinstalled, and the sales person said the newer systems
don't come with the OS CD's any more because the info is
all on your hard drive on a separate section (partioned
to D drive it seems, which is why my 40 G drive only
actually had 32G usuable area)-- but my thought is, if I
cannot boot up because of msome type of crash or system
failure/corruption, how do I get _to_ this D "drive"
where that back up system information is?

No, the "newer systems" do not come that way. *Some* systems,
like HPs, come that way. This is one of the reasons why I would
never buy an HP system.

In those situations where you do not have a bootable CD or a bootable PC
(due to the manufacturer not supplying a bootable CD) you will need to
contact the OEM for direct support.
