I worked around this by changing the Connections options
from "Dial whenever a network connections is not present"
to "Never dial a connection."

You can disable autodialing in the Network Connections window on the Advanced menu go to Dial preferences and disable autodialing completely - that will turn this off.

You can disable autodialing in the Network Connections window on the Advanced menu go to Dial preferences and disable autodialing completely - that will turn this off.
