One of my favorite apps from my old PC has problems with XP.
When I phoned the software firm, they said an XP version was
not economically feasible. When I asked how I can get help
from Microsoft, the rep suggested I goto postal. I can't
find it - anyone know?

Probably why they said postal. I believe it's an organisation called the =
US Postal Service in the USA that handles postal communications. But I'm =
old fashioned so I'll call it by it's tradional names, either =
PostMaster-General or the postman (postperson?).
You may not have seen one before but they are a piece of paper with =
writing on it put into a paper container. You put in a big red box =
marked E-R (Elizabeth Regina - but only in the loyal colonies) and the =
next day it appears in seattle.
It was common before the telegraph (an early type of email) to send =
postal communication.

mode?
