I tried to hibernate using Win XP, but got an error
message stating:
The device driver for the 'communications port (com 2)'
device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation.
Please close all applications and try again. If the
problem persists, you may need to update the driver.

The two drivers, when I checked, mentioned
serenum.sys
serial.sys

Is there a way to update them--and if so, where?

Also, if you could see my previous question on Oct 14
about hard drive letters and respond, I'd appreciate it.

What are the versions of these driver files? Has an application of some sort updated
them?

The versions are as follows:

serenum.sys:
Version 5.1.2600.0 (XPClient.010817-1148)

serial.sys:
5.1.2600.1106 (xpsp1.020828-1920)

P.S. my previous question was on Oct 15, not Oct 14.
