How to fix: XP Reconizes Tape\Tape drive as a MiniQIC

Hy all:

My problem is that XP (In Device Manager) recognizes my
travan tape drive correctly, however in Administrative
tools\management XP sees my tape\tape drive as a MiniQIC
device. Therefore when I attempt to do a backup I keep
getting a message that "There is no free media available"
even though there is a brand new tape in the drive. And
XP doesn't even check the drive prior to giving me this
message.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be
appreciated.
