I have a UMAX ASTRA 3400 scanner and ever since I have
updated my system to Windows XP home, my scanner will not
work. Can anyone please help me with this problem.

Go to the manufacturers website and download a WinXP Driver for the
Scanner.

Your scanner system files are needed in
C:\Windows\System32 rather than where they are installed
I had the same problem with my ASU6 scanner, after moving
the twain and asu6 (scanner name)files to the new location
it works. Also, get your upgrade files from your scanner
manufacturer. My upgrades would not work without the
above proceedure.
