minimized windows problem

whenever i minimize a window it disappears and never go
down to task bar (to restore) i can call it on only by
clicking alt+tab > browsing through other minimized
windows - how can i retrieve minimized windows to task
bar?

Right click on the task bar and select Toolbars. Try to use the Quick Launch
instead. When opened, minimized prgs will go to the quick launch bar instead
of the taskbar.

Also, make sure you have not mistakenly dragged the taskbar to where it is
below you monitor page. Drag the taskbar and make it wider to make sure you
have its size right.

Hi Eli,

You may also have been bitten by the greeting card bug.

Go to Add & Remove in the Control Panel and uninstall Friend greetings and
Winsrv reg if they exist.

I have the same annoying issue. What you recommend he
didn't work out with my XP Home Edition.
It worked again once I restore a passed version, but I
cannot be restoring it all the time.

Any other idea?
