Anyone know if you can install a version of XP Home bought
in North American (full not upgrade)on a system in the UK?
My thought is yes, but it will not be able to be
activated. Anyone any thoughts?

Thanks

Derek

Our company belongs to the Microsoft Select Program and we've installed
OS's/applications designed for countries all over the world and have not had
any problems. As for the activation part, contact Microsoft.

Yes, you can, and yes, it can be activated. Since activation is
completely anonymous,
where you are when you do it is irrelevant.

Hi Derek,
There shouldn't be a problem doing that. There is only one version produced
for the English language, just where it gets boxed varies.
My version of XP Professional is from North America and I have activated
both online and by telephone from the UK without problems.

Hope that helps
