Hello,

I have XP home edition. Can anyone advise on MS or 3rd party backup software
to backup datafiles to the CD-RW drive?

For help with third-party products you should check the manual for the

A purchase of Nero is good for that. www.nero.com It has NeroBackItUp which
works very nicely, can be scheduled and will do full backup or incremental
backups. As well it has Nero burning Rom and Nero Express which are great
for everything from saving files to creating audio CDs to copying CDs (non
copyright protected) and InCD which also gives you packet writing abilities.

Clear as dirt. XP has many datafiles. You may be saving datafiles as well.
