Dear Doris,
When wakening my lady XP from her hibernation, the e-mail
set-up on Outlook throws up an error report code
(0x8004210A) with POP3.
I have spoken to my ISP Tech/Support team and they tell
me that it is a Windows problem.
If I close down and switch on again my "inbox" then
produces a back-log of unread e-mails!
Any clues to what I have done wrong? Your help or
assistance in resolving this problem will be very much
appreciated.
My XP Pro is fully up-dated automatically and PCillin is
my onboard sentry.
Yours Sincerely,
Dave.

"The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP)
server 0x8004210a"
If you hibernated for more than a few minutes and your Outlook was in
the middle of a POP3 check, then this error is to be expected. You
should be able to manually check your email and then all emails received
during the hibernation period will be downloaded.
All this seems quite normal and obvious.
