I have newly installed Win XP Home and can't find
the "run" command (found in Win 98 with "start" "run". In
XP I click on "start" and can't find "run" anywhere on any
menu or sub-menu.

I want to go into the registry and do other things
to "tweak" my system, so where has Run run to?

Thank you!

Run was probably killed in marketing as too pedestrian for
an O/S designed to do amazing things. I haven't checked,
but maybe the same Run function exists as Mission Launch
Control or Effectuation Wizard. You might also try setting
your Start Menu properties to Classic mode to see if history
has been re-written to purge Run from our expectations for
user privileges.

Hi

In Classic Mode - Start>Settings>Taskbar and Start Menu - Start Menu =
tab>Customise - enable 'Display Run'.

David:
Try this...Right-click the Start button. Click Properties>Start
Menu>Customize>Advanced. Scroll down the list of Start menu items and check
Run command. Click OK.
