View Full Version : Recycle Bin

I upgraded from ME (system file corrupted) to Windows XP.
Recycle Bin doesn't work. Error Message:"The directory
or file cannot be created". Attempts to create the path
and directory were not successful.

Product ID still shows ME Product ID as OEM not the new
Windows XP ID so MicroSoft Support is useless.

Help Please

No, actually, it isn't. OEM CDs (at least recovery and restore/rescue discs)
cannot be used as a qualifying product for a clean installation. Unless he
has a retail/ 'full' OEM licence then he cannot install clean.

Ok, in that case, Format and remove the Virus otherwise known as Windows ME,
buy retail/ 'full' OEM copy and try again...

Either way, the first port of call is to remove the bag of **** called
Windows ME

I didn't mean to seem I was getting at you Ian, just that it wasn't as
simple as you made out. Now You know why I always purchase retail.
