Help!
I'm trying to install the volume control program for XP,
using the expand utility.

The Windows installation disk is in my CD-rom drive(e:)
where the folder i386 contains the files I need to tranfer.

The destination folder is on my C: drive

This is how I've been trying to do it with no luck.
E:\I386>expand sndvol32.ex_c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

It will return a "destination not specified" error.

what am I doing wrong? Is there another way to get these
files installed?

Thanks to anyone that can help. Rick

Hi Rick

Missing a needed space after the ex_:

E:\I386>expand sndvol32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe
