Hi,
Yes, it's called Windows Explorer, and should be used with any version of
Windows beyond Win3.x.

Although the link was inappropriate for a reply to this legitimate question,
the information KM supplied is very viable and would make the newsgroups
very efficient if they were followed.

Hi, Rick,
I use and like Windows Explorer.
I was asking for a little old lady that whose company moved from WinNT4 to
WinXP, and is having a heck of a time with file management. She liked to
have two file manager panes open for moving and copying files between
folders on the same drive and between networked drives.
I'll show her how to open two instances of Windows Explorer. Yep, I know
one instance will do the job, but we'll take it one step at a time.
Sincerely,
Bruce

You are either extremely ignorant or arrogant I haven't decided which and don't really care. Point is, Winfile was is and will remain a much more powerful tool than explorer is was or will be. There's a virtual plethora of tasks that can be accomplished with ease in Winfile that either require hurculean mousing or multiple instances of explorer to accomplish, let alone all the things explorer can't do and files it won't display.
Dude if I find anything i'll post it here for ya.
Rick Nutcase whatever well i guess you just like the sound of your voice.

I was being a smart-ass. Sorry, "dude", but winfile is a dead technology as
far as WinXP (and Windows in general) is concerned, and with good reason. It
worked well in the days of yore when the GUI was a 16-bit overlay of dos,
but not now in a 32-bit system. There are plenty of other file managers out
there to choose from.
