Hi,
I have this problem also with my network. Altho, my net
is mixed (wired/wireless), only 1 station is wired. With
smaller files say up to about 35 MB in size, they copy
fine upwards of 20 Mbps. But when copying a LARGE file
say 400MB+, the copy rate drops to a crawl (like .03 Mbps)
or slower.
From web reading I have seen, this seems to be a bug
within XP, or so many articles point to; I am not sure
this is entirely true.
I am putting in a trouble report with Netgear to see if
they have any detailed information about this topic.
I have adjusted TCPWindowSize in my registry as
suggested, but it doesnt seem to do anything but slow
overall network performance way down; it is a hack, if
anything.
If anybody has resolved this mystery, please reply here.
