View Full Version : Mysterious Install window at boot

In the last couple of weeks I have noticed a small window appear during the
initial surge of windows for items at startup. It appears for less than 1
second, looks like it says "Preparing to Install" and then goes away. I have
not noticed any overt symptom but I am wondering if this is some form of
spyware/adware or another item I really don't want. My antivirus is up to
date (and the machine has been scanned continually) and I run Adaware and
Spybot.

So, I'm looking for suggestions as to how to identify this fleeting window
and then, if appropriate, to somehow delete it.

Any suggestions?

TIA
