View Full Version : Cant get network win98+XP(home)working

Please help.I am a novice.
I have an older machine which runs win98 and a laptop on xp home.
I would like to set up a network so as i can have an internet connection
running through the older machine to the laptop(via a router).
I have tryed setting up a home network and the computers dont seem to
recognosing each other at all.what should i do?

Set your LAN settings within Tools;Internet
Options;Connections tab to automatically detect settings.
Reboot all PC's and all the PC's on the network should be
viewable in Network Neighborhood. Then you can drag
desired folders to the Shared Folders area in Windows
Explorer. Do this for each PC.
