Umax S6E Scanner Doesn't work with XP SP2
After SP2 installed, the system would boot up and get to the screen right
before you can choose a user, then it just reboots. This happens over and
over again.
The Fix:
I renamed the umax*.sys files in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder,
then XP SP2 loaded up with no problem at all

This scanner driver used to work in SP1 just fine. Microsoft, please fix
this! :)

Why would ms fix a problem with umax's drivers/scanners. It says on the umax
website that the scanner you list is not compatable with windows xp and
there are no drivers or software available for it. I'm surprised you got it
to work in xp at all. I suggest you contact umax to see what your options
are.
