looking for hidden programs running

how do you check to see what programs are currently
running on windows. For example I see none and on my
login it says that there are

Just like all Windows applications. Depress Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Control-Alt-Delete brings up the Task Manager, which will show
you what's running.
