I Can't Sort Desktop Shortcut Icons By Name

Hi gang!

When I right click on the desktop and try to sort the
shortcut icons by name, some of them alphabatize, but
then some others start at "A" again and go in order after
the first group went from "A" to "Z".

Right now the icons go from "A" to "Z" 3 times on my
desktop.

Any idea how to fix this?

That is because the sort is using filename.ext as the fully qualified sort
criteria. All the .exe and .lnk (shortcuts) sort diferently.
