outlook express (windows messenger used to be there...)

any suggestions about how i can fix this?

You can have MSN Messenger 6.2 automatically start with the
computer and sign in. You can have more than one email account in
OE including Hotmail(s). You can turn on automatic email notification.
That might approximate the functionality you are looking for.

Greetings Raphael,

I assume you mean in the Contacts pane, unfortunately MSN Messenger does not integrate into
Outlook Express, so if you want that particular functionality, you will need to use Windows
Messenger instead.

Thank you for your feedback. Is there any change in sight? Unfortunately,
Windows messenger doesn't offer the same functionality than MSN does.

Is there also no way by changing a registry entry to lead OE to MSN instead
of windows messenger?

Thanks a lot,
Raphael

Hi Raphael,

I don't believe there's going to be any change with this between now and longhorn (but you
never know).

There's no magical registry key for this I'm afraid.
