dialup networking problem

hi i am using xp . when i start my computer and then go to the network and
dialup connections and double click it it does'nt opens for about 2 minutes
.. and the mouse becomes busy and after 2 minutes the connections appear... i
have this problem orund about 7 times and all i have to do is to format the
drvie and reinstall windowsxp .. and install all the necessary softwares and
drives and then use it....... Now i am tired of this hell and i cant keep
with this problem ........ i still have this problme but i want to diagnonse
it so that i can escape of it.......... i have noticeced somthign about this
problem when i ahve this problem and i open the task manager i cant see the
user names except for the system idle process which is system........ when
the list appears after 2 minutes i can open the network and dialup
connections....... any idea ....... i have scan my system with mcafee 8i. pc
cillin 2004. spybot search and destroy.. and trojan remover....... nothing
dangerous ....... badly need this help
