I was wondering if there was someway to save the XP service pack 2 update on
my hard drive so that I can burn it to a CD-R? I am running Windows XP Home
on my computer.

You can always download the full version and burn it to CD-R

If you are referring to the Express Installation, then No, that is a
custom download for your current computer configuration at that time.

Download the Network Installation and burn to CD, #1 on this link:
