Program Sharing

I have asked this question before, but never really
received any answer. Let me try once more.
I had been using "Start Program Sharing" in MSN Messenger
before -with the same two contacts - without any
problems; in the past few months, however, I have only
gotten to the "Wating.." stage. The small Sharing window
appears in the upper lefthand corner of the screen, first
it is blank, then after a while it reads "Waiting...",
then nothing happens. The darn thing simply does not work.
I'm wondering wether my installing Norton Internet
Security 2004 early June might have something to do with
it, if so, can anything be done about that, short of
uninstalling it.
