delete function

I am trying to clean up My Pictures folder. Whenever I
highlight a file, and hit delete, windows sends it to the
recycle bin, AND makes a copy of the file in my
pictures. What can I do to prevent this extra file from
being made?

Sounds like a virus to me.
You can also right click on the recycle bin > properties > and tick the
display delete confirmation box.
