View Full Version : wireless 802.11g/b
I am using xp and my wireless card keeps tuning in and out
for no apparent reason. I contacted the manufacturer
which identified it as an xp problem. I looked on the
microsoft site and it said that they knew of the problem
and it would be included in the next service pack. Does
anyone know of a hotfix for this? if yes, how do I obtain
it?

Check the Authentication options in your wireless network adapter's settings
and make sure that you don't have 802.1x authentication enabled. You'll
find this by right-clicking your wireless adapter in the Network Connections
box, selecting Properties, then the Authentication tab.
