View Full Version : Netsh ip reset

I had an ip address problem on my wireless interface. The
address would not flush from memory. I forgot about the
ipcofig/renew etc, and i did "netsh ip reset". after
typing that i realized that was not the right usage of the
command.
when i do ipconfig now this is the message that i get -
"An internal error occured: The pipe is being closed.
Please contact Microsoft ...
Additional information : Unable to query tcpip interface
table."

i'm hoping there is a way to fix this without re-
installing the OS.

Let me know if there is and what i can do to fix this.

Thanks
Rahul

Rahul,

looks like a Java error to me. Do you have any Java software
installed?

Rahul,

please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.
There are a few chapters detailing repair procedures on the IP
stack and Winsock. You could try those.

But I'm not sure about the cause of your problem. This is only a
stab in the dark.

If anybody else has a good idea, please chime in.
