OK this is a stupid question but could someone walk me through how to
uninstal a network on Windows xp?

delete "client for microsoft networks"

or remove your network card :>

Unlike Windows 95/98/Me, the basic networking software is built into
Windows XP and isn't explicitly installed or un-installed.

When you add a network card to your computer, it installs a driver
program for the network card. You can install (and un-install) some
network components (such as the NWLink IPX/SPX protocol) in the
properties of a network connection.

What exactly do you see that you want to un-install?
