SP2

[Rusty]

Has anyone actually received SP2 thru automatic updates yet? (Not those who
where beta testers.) I have 3 computers connected 24/7 with broadband and
not one has received SP2 yet? I have it on my machine at work (a network
machine) but nothing on my home machines yet? Is this a really slow
distribution?

If you have 3 machines what would even tempt you to use Winows Update rather
than downloading the complete SP2 and upgrade them yourself? The URL is
posted here about 30 times a day, if you don't have it.

100+ million copies to update, and it's going to take months, not days.

I recieved it through automatic updates on my home XP box Friday night,
but haven't had the time to perform the install yet.

I received SP2 for one of my home systems through
autupdate. I downloaded it and installed it on my Dell
Dimension 2400 without any problems.

Yes, on a 56k dialup, the update icon appeared around 5:00pm, I clicked
download, I came back 8 hours later and had a message stating it was ready
for install, install took about 20-25 minutes. Very uneventful.
