I just tried attaching my Bluetooth dongle to a newly reinstalled
computer with XP Home Edition (no SP) + SP2. Windows detected and
installed the driver, and Bluetooth can detect and connect to my Sony
Ericsson T630 mobile phone, but how do I explore the files within?

On another (SP1) computer and I installed the Bluetooth software that
came with the same dongle and it created a My Bluetooth Place system
icon on the Desktop, through which I can access all the services offered
by the phone, including explore/upload/download/delete files stored on
it, but not with SP2's built-in support.

Do I still need this software installed?

I would forego MS's lame support for both Bluetooth & wireless networking,
especially with a well-known computing company. I use both Logitech's
Bluetooth software and Netgear's Wireless Networking software, and haven't
had a problem yet with either.

Sounds like the SP2 Bluetooth support is more bark than bite. Oh well,
back to installing the OEM Bluetooth software then.

Thanks.
