I installed SP2 a week or so ago from stand-alone file [270mb] on my XP
Professional SP1 with no problems [went smooth and normal]

but after the restart i cant right click in the start menu or on the taskbar
without the system hanging for about a minute or 2, then explorer.exe
restarts and i then the system appears slow for the rest of the sessions????

i found one way of 'curing' [not the right word] of the hanging after right
clicking is by bringing up the task manager and end the drwatson process, but
then explorer.exe still restarts and continues tobe slow??

any ideas why this is happening???

thanks ahead

Do you have Divx installed? Some people have been having problems with right
clicking with this installed.

You might check their site and see if they have a patch or update to fix the
problem.

I'm having a similar problem. Every time I boot a message
appears saying drwatson is unresponsive and is generating
an error report. Then the machine hangs and the only way
to get anything going is to clear drwatson from running
processes. Just installed SP2 and has been happening ever
since.
