Xp activate question

Ok, so i bought a spiffy new computer, came with xp,
install went great, happy happy. I activated it, didnt
register but i did type the key thing in. All is good.
Few months later i get a nasty little virus that makes
all my key's skrewed up, so i try a format. Re-install
windows xp, but i just have 1 problem.

I reformated and xp wont let me register another time. It
says my key has been used once already or something to
that effect. I hear its REALY bad to let that 30 day
timer get to 0 So Im kinda at a loss on what to do. My cd
key doesnt work.

There are only two (2) methods to activate Windows XP:

1) via the internet

2) via the telephone

I suggest you select the option to "activate by telephone".

Err, yes, it does. Go back to the ACTIVATION (not registration) screen and
follow the instructions for the OTHER method of activation. Hang on, you
said that it came with XP? Most systems that have OEM XP are activated at
the factory. You might not be able to use the telephone activation method in
this case - contact your system vendor.
